Goodman Group has delivered a 10,500 m2 production facility in the Polish city of Wroclaw for packaging and laminates producer Walki Group.

Goodman Group has delivered a 10,500 m2 production facility in the Polish city of Wroclaw for packaging and laminates producer Walki Group.

Construction began in September 2012 and the facility was handed over to the customer in May 2013.

Walki’s new unit is located in Goodman’s Wroclaw East Logistics Centre, where Goodman has previously developed a 26,900 m2 distribution centre for TJX Europe in 2012 and a 25,695 m2 warehouse for Whirlpool in 2008.

The logistics centre is located in the north-eastern part of Wroclaw, enabling access and via the Wroclaw motorway ring road, is connected to other parts of the city, to the A4 motorway and to Wroclaw International Airport.

Production is set to commence in the third quarter of 2013. Initially, the facility will focus on specialised production serving the forest industry and consumer packaging segments, employing 50 people. The Wroclaw facility is Walki’s third production centre in Poland.

The leasing transaction was conducted by CBRE.
