Goodman Group said it has delivered 65,900 m2 of logistics space for three customers in Germany so far this year. The international property company has also signed contracts to develop a further 98,500 m2 of logistics facilities in the country.
Goodman said there is strong demand for space at present, particularly from logistics service providers and e-commerce companies.
'Logistics companies continue to benefit from the overall robust economic environment in Germany and are also consolidating their businesses into modern new spaces. The e-commerce industry continues to grow rapidly and there is an increasing need for storage space,' said Andreas Fleischer, Goodman regional director for Germany.
In addition to the two new logistics centres for DB Schenker and Rhenus, Goodman will develop an extension to the existing warehouse leased to Kuehne + Nagel in Langenbach.
