Colliers has established a new capital advisory department in response to surging demand for financing guidance, particularly in refinancing, repositioning assets, and fundraising.
Headed by Arnaud Godard, the division will strengthen Colliers' presence in France and complements its existing European capital advisory expertise.
The new department offers a suite of services to real estate owners, investors, asset and fund managers, developers, and companies, including facilitating debt and equity financing, as well as fostering strategic partnerships through joint ventures and club deals.
Godard will lead the strategic development of the team, drawing on Colliers' extensive global network, and offering clients access to both French and international capital sources.
Godard began his career at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, before serving as CFO of Canal France International. Following a stint as project leader at Boston Consulting Group, he joined BNP Paribas Corporate & Investment Banking as a director in the M&A Real Estate team. In 2017, he became director of Investor Relations at Bouygues Immobilier, overseeing financial engineering and investor relations. Additionally, Arnaud holds the position of Secretary General at IFPImm, the Institute for Financing Real Estate Professionals.
Arnaud Godard will report directly to Antoine Derville, chairman of Colliers, who commented: ‘We are delighted to welcome Arnaud and to enrich our service offering with the creation of the Capital Advisory department. With his dual real estate and financial expertise, Arnaud is perfectly equipped to provide optimal solutions to our clients’ financing and refinancing challenges in a complex market.’
