Global investment manager GLP has acquired a logistics property north-east of Paris from
Luxembourg-based asset and investment specialist REInvest Asset Management.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The fully let, 36,000 m2 logistics property is situated in the Aisne department of the Hauts-de-France region.
Since the end of 2017, the property in Ploisy near Soissons had been part of the portfolio of the Dereif Sicav-Fis fund, a pan-European investing Luxembourg-based individual fund of a large German insurance company. The current fund volume is around €1.1 bn, spread over 25 properties.
Said Jonas Hafner, fund manager of the Dereif fund at REInvest: 'With the takeover of the mandate in 2018, REInvest has continuously optimised the attractiveness of the property and strengthened tenant loyalty to the property.
'This has paid off for the investor in the exit that has now taken place.'
Daniel Hohls-Larsson, head of transactions at REInvest since the end of 2020, added: 'We were able to use the current strong demand very successfully for the sale of the last logistics property from this fund and realise a good increase in value for our client.
'In the future, we will focus on office properties in the fund. Currently, we already have two more properties in final negotiations.'
