Globalworth, an office-focused investor in Central and Eastern Europe, has reported that its portfolio has the highest number of ESG credentials in Romania, after securing 47 ESG-related certifications for its portfolio in the country in 2022.

According to the firm, it renewed LEED green certificatons for Globalworth Tower, the Green Court Complex (3 buildings), and City Offices last year, while picking up BREEAM new construction accreditation for Globalworth Square.

The firm also renewed BREEAM In-use green certifications for BOB, BOC, GW Plaza, TCI, Unicredit, Gara Herastrau, TIP (1 facility) and received first time BREEAM In-use green certificaton for two other facilities in the TIP complex.

On top of that, it secured Access4you, a disabled persons certification for 16 Globalworth office buildings, and Well Health-Safety Rating for all our office properties.

According to the firm, one of the highlights in terms of sustainability was the scoring achieved at Globalworth Square, the most technologically advanced office building in the Globalworth portfolio. BREEAM Outstanding accreditation, with 99% scoring, placed the building on the 3rd place worldwide at the time of its certification.

Globalworth is a listed real estate company active in Central and Eastern Europe, quoted on the AIM-segment of the London Stock Exchange. The combined value of its portfolio is €3.2 bn, as at 30 June 2022.

Approximately 96.3% of the portfolio is in income-producing assets, predominately in the office sector, leased to over 660 national and multinational corporates.
