Globalworth, a major office investor in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), has signed an agreement with eMAG, a CEE-focused ecommerce player, for office space in Globalworth Square in Bucharest, one of the highest-ranked buildings in Globalworth`s portfolio.

The newly signed deal, which will see eMAG set up its headquarters in the asset, marks the largest new lease contract so far this year in office real estate in Romania.

The space made available to eMAG measures around 10,000 m2 GLA and will include the fit-out extended service provided by Globalworth`s Workplaces division.

Globalworth has so far provided its partners with more than 250,000 m2 of fited-out office space.

The building is part of the Globalworth District in the north of the capital and has a total leasable area of 29,000 m2, spread over 3 underground levels, ground floor and 15 upper floors, plus 1 tech level, with a typical floor plan of 2,130 m2.

Following the conclusion of the new agreement between eMAG and Globalworth, the building will be at a 100% occupancy rate.

Globalworth Square was completed in 2021 and is the highest ranked BREEAM Outstanding building in Romania and the third in the world with this green certificate.
