Real estate investor and asset manager Global Mutual has appointed Ritchie Gardiner and Mark Carrington as managing directors to build upon a recent period of growth.
Carrington joins Global Mutual from Goldman Sachs, where he was head of UK Real Estate Asset Management and brings a wealth of cross-sector experience throughout Europe with a focus on asset and operational performance and platform value creation. Gardiner was promoted to the newly created role following five years in the business.
‘The creation of the managing director roles enables Global Mutual to continue its ambitious growth plans to strategically expand the portfolio and client base,’ the company said in a statement.
The company, which currently manages £5 bn of assets, significantly added to its portfolio last year with the takeover of four Intu shopping centres (UK), an A.T.U automotive service portfolio (Germany), and the Twice Retail Park (Italy).
