California-based pharmaceuticals company Gilead Sciences has leased 450 m[sup]2[/sup] of office space in the Brussels Park Lane office park owned by Belgian quoted property company Cofinimmo, as it increases its geographical expansion throughout Europe. Gilead has signed a nine-year lease for the property, terms of which were not released. Other tenants of the office park include telecommunications companies Nokia and Verizon.

Cushman & Wakefield is advising Gilead on the opening of new offices in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region. After the relocation of Gilead’s international headquarters from Paris to London, the US company has also been opening a number of subsidiary offices in Switzerland, Netherlands, Turkey, Sweden and Belgium.
