International law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel said on Wednesday that it advised Mayland Real Estate on the sale of two Polish shopping centres to private equity firm MGPA in what has been described as the largest real estate transaction in Poland since 2007.
MGPA Europe Fund III, a fund advised by MGPA, acquired the shopping centres CH Karolinka in Opole and CH Pogoria in Dabrowa Górnicza for EUR 187 mln or EUR 1,765 per m2. Both centres were developed and managed by Mayland Real Estate.
'Both we and our clients are pleased and satisfied that we managed to finalise one of the most important transactions of 2009 - which was generally written off as a bad year for the real estate market due to the effects of the credit crunch,' said Andrzej Lulka.
