German Estate Group (GEG), a Frankfurt-based joint venture between private equity firm KKR and property investor Deutsche Immobilien Chancen-Group, has appointed Arndt Buchwald as chief finance officer.

German Estate Group (GEG), a Frankfurt-based joint venture between private equity firm KKR and property investor Deutsche Immobilien Chancen-Group, has appointed Arndt Buchwald as chief finance officer.

Buchwald will also have responsibility for the asset management, transaction management and risk management divisions.

He succeeds Thomas Grimm who plans to refocus his full attention on tasks as a member of the management board of Deutsche Immobilien Chancen-Group and its equity investments.

Before joining GEG, Buchwald served as a managing director responsible for German real estate portfolio at developer Tishman Speyer.

He previously held senior positions with a number of companies, including Archon Group and KPMG.
