The 34,000 m2 scheme was acquired from LIS Logistics within the framework of an institutional mandate. The two parties agreed not to disclose the selling price. It is being developed by building consortium Hercuton/Remco Ruimtebouw and is scheduled for completion by the second quarter of 2021.

The new warehouse will be built at the Stichtse Kant Business Park, a trading estate in Almere which is located some 30 km east of Amsterdam.

On completion, the centre will be occupied by LIS Logistics, a Dutch logistics provider which has been headquartered in Almere since 2007and currently operates several sites in the city.

Garbe was advised on the legal side of the transaction by Amsterdam-based law firm Lexence, while Drees & Sommer provided technical and auditing services.
Hercuton/Remco Ruimtebouw was advised by agencies Over Engh Vastgoed and 1530 Real Estate.

The deal follows a string of acquisitions by Garbe in recent months; in July it purchased two assets in Vienna, Austria and in March it picked up three sheds in northern Germany.
