Germany fund manager Hansainvest has acquired an office building under construction in Helsinki for €50 mln.
Hansainvest purchased the development at Ilmalantori 3 on behalf of one of its special funds. The vendor was Hartela, a family-owned Finnish construction company, which will also be one of the main tenants.
Ilmalantori 3 will provide 11,600 m2 when completed. The property is close to the Ilmala railway station and middle Pasila – a developing area near Helsinki city centre and 20 minutes from the airport.
The new building with LEED certification is already leased by a municipal Helsinki Region Environmental Services Authority for waste management and water supply. Hartela has also signed a long-term lease to base its headquarters in the property.
Nordic law firm Roschier advised the buyer, while Hartela was advised by Finnish financial specialist Mrec and local law firm Merilampi.
