Germany's 45 open-ended property funds raised EUR 1 bn in new equity in February, bringing total fund capital to EUR 89.4 bn, according to the latest figures from German fund industry body BVI. This compares with a total of EUR 88.3 bn at end-January and EUR 85.4 bn a year ago.

Net average monthly inflows amounted to EUR 977.3 mln in February against EUR 1.7 bn in January and a negative EUR 32.8 bn in February 2009.
Mixed (bond and equity) funds and equity funds topped BVI's monthly overview of fund performance with net capital inflows of EUR 1.9 bn and EUR 1.6 bn respectively.
