The 8,460-m2 complex on the edge of Dam Square in the Dutch capital consists of two main building, Instantia and Industria, which are connected by the Exchange Alley.
The Industria building was commissioned by the members-only Gentlemen's club, 'De Industrieele Club'. That club merged with another members-only club in 1975. The resulting 'De Industrieele Groote Club' still occupies the building.
