Georgian billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili has sold his real estate development assets in Moscow to Russian property group Bin for $980 mln (EUR 773 mln).

Georgian billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili has sold his real estate development assets in Moscow to Russian property group Bin for $980 mln (EUR 773 mln).

The deal involves residential area property, hotels and business centres and is expected to close by 15 August.

The disposal is part of the billionaire's pledge to sell his Russian assets and re-invest money in the Georgian economy, according to news agency Reuters. Ivanishvili, whose wealth is estimated at over $6 bn, has recently launched its own political movement in Georgia.

BIN Group is a Russian real estate development group owned by the Gutseriev family.
