Nordic fund and investment manager Genesta has appointed Stefan Björklund to lead its new Nordic residential strategy.
Björklund will acquire and manage residential real estate throughout the Nordics on behalf of Genesta’s new fund, GNRE Core Plus Open-ended.
"This is an exciting time for Genesta and I am proud to be chosen to lead this new sector," Björklund said. "I am happy to soon join the team and look forward to this new opportunity."
Björklund will assume his new position from February. Before joining Genesta, Björklund was head of analysis and transaction at the Swedish residential developer Einar Mattsson. Prior to that he ran the Nordic real estate operations at Doughty Hanson.
David Neil, CEO of Genesta, added: 'With our new fund in place, GNRE Core Plus Open-ended, we are expanding our investment universe into residential property.

Genesta specialises in commercial and residential real estate in the four Nordic countries.
