Amsterdam-based Geneba Properties has acquired a logistics asset on the Dutch-German border for €60 mln.
The property provides 85,000 m2 of lettable space on a 158,000 m2 plot, and is located at ’s-Heerenberg, close to the A12 motorway/ Autobahn 3 and the Rhine-Waal container terminal in Emmerich.
This marks Geneba’s first acquisition since it raised more than €200 mln in a rights issue earlier this year. The company’s portfolio is valued at more than €700 mln and consists of long-term leased commercial real estate in strategic locations.
The new site is leased to the Wim Bosman Groep, a subsidiary of New Zealand-listed Mainfreight, on a long-term basis.
Geneba’s CEO Wulf Meinel said the purchase was ‘proof of the continued implementation of our strategy and our focus on logistics and light industrial assets in our core markets, the Netherlands and Germany.’
