Gecina has announced that Florent de Malherbe is joining the French property group as chief development officer for Office Real Estate. The Office division is headed by André Lajou.
An ESC Rouen graduate, De Malherbe began his career at Deloitte Corporate Finance, then KPMG, before moving to CB Richard Ellis in 2000. From 2006, he was a director at Cushman & Wakefield Investors, in charge of acquisitions and asset management.
He has been recruited by Gecina to help drive the development of the group's office portfolio, in line with the objective set by Christophe Clamageran to grow the office portfolio from EUR 5.5 bn at present to EUR 9 bn by 2014.
