Listed French property company Gecina said it has acquired four logistics properties, with a total surface area of nearly 76,000m2, in France for an undisclosed price. The logistics centres were all part of a sale-and-leaseback operation with the French subsidiary of electrical equipment equipment distributor Rexel.

The logistics centres were all part of a sale-and-leaseback operation with the French subsidiary of electrical equipment equipment distributor Rexel.

The four logistics platforms are located in Nancy-Champigneulles, in the east of the country, Rouen-Grand-Quevilly in Normandy, Orleans-Meung-sur-Loire in central France and Marseille-Miramas in the south, with surface areas ranging from 15,800 m2 to about 26,000 m2. Gecina said it has also signed a firm agreement to acquire additional three properties from Rexel France with a total surface area of about 48,000 m2.

Gecina has a total logistics portfolio comprising nearly 890,000 m2 of existing assets and over 433,000 m2 of development projects throughout France.
