An Austrian real estate joint venture has leased two-thirds of the office space at its Airportcity mixed-use scheme in St Petersburg to a subsidiary of Russian energy giant Gazprom.

Gazprom Invest Zapad has taken a lease on just under 10,000 m2 of open-plan office space at Airportcity, next to Pulkovo 2 international airport in Russia's second city.

Airportcity features two completed office towers, Jupiter I and Jupiter II, comprising 16,000 m2 of office space; the 15,000 m2 Zeppelin office tower which is under construction; and a four-star Crowne Plaza hotel with 294 rooms and conference facilities.

The scheme is a joint project between Austrian real estate companies Warimpex, CA Immo and UBM.
