Israeli property developer Gardens Group said it plans to invest EUR 400 mln in a mixed-use complex known as Garden City to be constructed near the village of Lozen in the district of Sofia. The complex will include houses, apartments, offices, a sports centre and schools. Gardens Group said that the project, which is by far the largest it is currently developing, is in the land purchasing and general project plan development phase.

The sales price of the Garden City scheme is expected to reach EUR 500 mln to EUR 600 mln, investor.bg reported. The project should be completed by 2012.
The Israeli developer has just begun construction of its EUR 9.2 mln Bistritza Gardens residential complex, in walking distance from the centre of the village of Bistritza. That project involves the construction of 52 single-family houses with total build-up area of 16,000 m2.
