London-headquartered developer Galliard Group has launched a new luxury workspace platform, dubbed Evolve, with an initial scheme in Colchester offering 90 work-space units.
Galliard said the business line would offer investors the opportunity to purchase units for rental investments, while enterprises would also have the chance to buy or rent spaces.
The first Evolve scheme, on a 5.7 acre (2.3 ha) site, comprises a 50,000 ft2 (4,650 m2) two storey development offering 90 workspace units in the first phase, and five other stand alone traditional office buildings in phase two.
There are two other Evolve projects in the planning pipeline, a 2.19 acre site and 50,000 ft2 development offering 90 small business units in Milton Keynes, and a 1.5 acre site and 36,000 ft2 development offering 45 business units in Watford.
'This launch of Evolve moves our buy-to-let investment work into the commercial property sector, providing investors with a value-for-money opportunity to acquire units for rental investment, alongside enabling small firms wanting to rent or buy work spaces to get onto the commercial ladder and move into a vibrant business community complete with lifestyle facilities,' said Stephen Conway, executive chairman of Galliard.
Over the next five years Evolve plans to build work space schemes across London, the surrounding M25 commuter belt and Home Counties.
