London-based private residential developer Galliard Homes has appointed Paul Huberman as a non-executive director to advise on corporate growth as part of the company’s ongoing expansion plans.
The appointment follows Galliard's launch in November 2014 of a joint venture with private investor Cain Hoy to invest up to £225 mln in new residential projects over the next three years. The programme will enable the construction of new projects with a gross development value of over £1 bn, adding to the 4,000 homes already being constructed.
Huberman will advise on corporate disciplines and structuring as Galliard Homes undertakes this expansion, according to Stephen Conway, chairman and CEO of Galliard Homes.
'We have had a very successful start to 2015 with over £1.2 bn of forward sales and 80% of our existing portfolio now forward sold,' he commented.
Huberman brings to Galliard Homes over 27 years of experience in the property and finance sector. He was previously finance director at quoted property companies Grantchester Holdings and Asda Property Holdings and managed pubs group Regent Inns.
He is also a non-executive director at Town Centre Securities, a quoted UK property investment and development company with property assets of over £300 mln.
