Galimmo Real Estate, the commercial real estate specialist and shopping centre developer, has appointed Anne Thiry as managing director of Galimmo for Belgium and Luxembourg. She succeeds Jean-Luc Storme.
With immediate effect, Thiry heads all of Galimmo Real Estate's operations and teams in Belgium and Luxembourg, where Galimmo operates a portfolio of eight shopping centres adjacent to Cora hypermarkets.

Before joining Galimmo, Thiry was real estate director of Carrefour Belgium, where she held various positions since 2008. Previously, Thiry was expansion manager from 2004 to 2008 at Lidl, having started her career as a lawyer at Bird & Bird (from 1999 to 2000) then DLA Piper (from 2000 to 2004).
Thiry also joins the Galimmo executive commitee which oversees all the group's strategic and operational actions.
