CEE investor and developer Futureal said its €36 mln Advance Tower project in Budapest is on track to become the first office building in Hungary to obtain the Well Building Standard (WELL) certification.
'Work environment is among the top three factors affecting employees’ performance and satisfaction. Futureal has been committed to sustainability and thus when developing our office buildings, factors that improve employees’ health and well-being are of great importance, besides the environmental considerations and energy requirements,' commented Tibor Tatár, CEO of Futureal.
'Our aim is to create a work environment that is beneficial not just for the comfort of employees but also for their health. That’s the reason why would like Advance Tower to become the first office building with Well Building Standard certification in Hungary,' Tatár added.
The six-storey, Class A Advance Tower, located in district 13 of the city, comprises 11,900 m2 of GLA and has already been BREEAM certified. Pre-qualification for the WELL standard has now commenced.
The WELL system examines the impact of buildings on the human body, overall health and the environment and rates them based on seven categories – air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort and mind.
Futureal said that all of its future office projects will be realised in line with the WELL standard, including its Corvin 5 and Budapest ONE Business Park schemes.
