Developer Futureal has secured financing from Raiffeisen bank for the development of its Vision Towers office complex in the 13th district of Budapest.
The project, due to house KPMG's new headquarters, will provide a total of 23,000 m2 of offices right above a metro station. The 10-year lease will commence in 2014.
The building is aiming for a 'Very Good' or even 'Excellent' level of the BREEAM sustainability system.
János Berki, project director of Vision Towers, pointed out that this is one of 'two major financing agreements agreed for office buildings in the past 12 months'. 'While banks are acting with the utmost circumspection and only after careful consideration of all relevant criteria, finance is available for the best projects,' he added.
Ákos Csobádi, head of Raiffeisen Bank's Project Financing Division said the bank 'was glad to finance this investment - one of the first large office developments in the capital city for a long time.'
