French retail park specialist Frey has been chosen by the municipality of Saint-Genis-Pouilly to develop a new Chapman Taylor-designed commercial park.

The project, involving some 54,500 m2 of space and 2,040 parking spaces, will make use of environmentally sustainable measures which will make it completely auto-sufficient in terms of energy and water.

'It is a great honor for our group to have been selected to develop the first zero-energy cost commercial park in France,' said Anthony Frey, CEO of Frey.

The project will include shops, but also leisure and services, and a 6,000 m2 office complex. The development, planned to open in 2016, will represent an investment of around EUR 75 mln.
