French property company Frey has announced the launch of the development of the Moulins retail park located in Soissons, Northern France.
Designed by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the project consists of 10,000 m2 of retail space and 800 parking spaces. The scheme is 100%-financed and let to a range of tenants including Décathlon, Besson Chaussures, Casa, Celio, Phildar, Camaïeu, and Textiloisirs.
The park will be retained within Frey's portfolio after completion at the end of 2009, the company said. Its opening is planned for the first quarter of 2010.
In a statement on Friday, Frey said that it plans to deliver around 75,000 m2 of commercial space to the French property market during the course of 2009. These include a 18,000 m2 retail park in the outskirts of Madrid, a shopping centre in Lille and the extension of the Cormontreuil retail park.
By 2012, the company expects to have developed a total of 500,000 m2 of retail space.
