French asset manager Primonial REIM has expanded its Italian property portfolio with the acquisition of a retail package in the North of the country for around €20 mln.
In a statement, the company said that the deal is part of its European expansion strategy and follows the purchase in May of the Poliscare fund, owner of four healthcare assets in Italy, for around €75 mln.
In the past few months, the company also entered Belgium with the acquisition of a portfolio of high street retail assets for around €80 mln as well as Spain with the purchase of the Sant Antoni clinic in Barcelona.
The retail portfolio consists of six assets located in six cities largely in the Lombardy region of Italy. It provides a total of 8,200 m2 of retail space.
Primonial REIM was advised by DLA Pipper, REEAS and eRE on the deal.
