French listed property investment firm Carmina has announced the acquisition of Rosaleda, a shopping center located in Malaga, in the south of Spain, for a price of €24.6 mln euros including duties.

The centre of 73 shops, adjoining a Carrefour hypermarket, covers an area of 15,500 m² and includes two medium-sized stores, Decathlon and Lefties, the ready-to-wear brand of the Inditex Group. It also includes a leisure center with a cinema.

The transaction is part of the asset rotation programme announced in December 2021 and follows the announcement of the signing of an agreement for the sale of a portfolio of six assets located in France, the companys said.

Carmila's portfolio in Spain consisted of 78 assets at the end of 2021, valued at €1.4 bn, including two shopping centers in Malaga.

Carmila was created by Carrefour and major institutional investors with a view to transforming and enhancing the shopping centers adjoining Carrefour stores in France, Spain and Italy. As of December 31, 2021, its portfolio consisted of 214 shopping centers, leaders in their catchment area, and valued at €6.21 bn.
