The shopping mall comprises 101 retail units with a combined retail space of 30,000 m2, including a 10,500 m2 Conad-Leclerc hypermarket.
Gran Sasso is adjacent to the 9,000-seat football stadium developed by Foruminvest Italia as the new training ground of Teramo football club. The retail and entertainment complex will also provide some 4,500 parking spaces, of which 1,600 will be underground.
Foruminvest will open a second mall in Moffetta, near the Southern city of Bari, next month. The mall is already 80% leased, the company said in a statement. The Dutch company is also financing the construction of a new shopping and leisure centre, as well as a new stadium, by 2011 in Genoa. The new complex, valued at some EUR 250 mln, will include a 34,000-seat stadium sponsored by Riccardo Garrone, president of Sampdoria Football Club, and will become the club's new training ground.
