The Italian arm of Dutch property developer Foruminvest said on Wednesday that it has agreed to acquire a plot of land for the development of a hotel next to Milan’s international airport of Malpensa.
The seller is Villa Carmen Srl, a joint venture between Schiphol Real Estate and a local Italian partner. Financial details were not disclosed.
The hotel will be located right in front of the international terminal of Malpensa Airport, the largest international airport in Northern Italy. The 1.15 ha site on the grounds of Vizzola Business Park is accessible from the A4 and A8 highways and is expected to accommodate up to 240 rooms and 120 parking spaces.
