Foruminvest's Italian arm has been awarded the contract for its second shopping centre development project in southern Italy. The Mongolfiera Molfetta shopping centre will provide a gross lettable area of 35,000 m2, comprising 350 shops and restaurants anchored by a 10,000 m[sup]2[/sup] Coop hypermarket, and about 3,000 parking spaces. The financial details have not been disclosed.

The centre will be built 20 km west of Bari, southern Italy. Opening is scheduled for the first quarter of 2008, the company said in a press release. Construction work has already started.
The company entered Italy with the development of a 30,000 m2 110-unit shopping centre in Teramo, southern Italy, in 2004. Foruminvest was founded in the Netherlands in 1987. It is a property development company active in Belgium (since 1999), France (2003), Italy (2004) and it recently entered the Turkish market.
