Real estate investment management veteran Andrew Thornton has founded Enterprise Land, a new investment company focused on the UK and Europe.
Enterprise Land seeks to partner with companies specializing in the essential factors of production (enterprise, land, labour, and capital) to create compelling investment opportunities.
Based in London, the firm will initially target student accommodation, data centres, and logistics sectors, which are experiencing strong growth and offer attractive investment opportunities.
Thornton said: ‘I have formed Enterprise Land as a new type of intelligent real estate company, connecting the four factors of production through an integrated investment eco-system. Our mission is to bring together institutional rigour and entrepreneurial flair to create world-class investment solutions. The world has changed significantly and we have the ability to seize the opportunity without being held back by legacy.’
Thornton plans to recruit a team to work alongside him throughout Europe.
Before launching Enterprise Land, he co-founded and led European real estate investment manager Internos Global Investors for 17 years.
He also served as CEO of Principal Real Estate in Europe since 2018 following the acquisition of Internos by Principal Financial Group.
Thornton co-founded Parkes and Company and served as its European COO from 1996 to 2007. The company was later acquired by Invesco Real Estate.
