Southern Europe and Iberia advisor, RPE, has bolstered capabilities in the warehouse and logistics sector with the hire of Gustavo Rodríguez.
Rodríguez spent a total of 18 years with agent JLL in Madrid, most recently as national director of logistics for 8 of them until leaving the company in March this year.
Prior to becoming an agent at JLL, he worked for AIG Lincoln for 18 months where he marketed the San Fernando Logistics Park, Puerta de Madrid, among other assignments.
At JLL, he went on to advise on more than €1.5 bn of logistics portfolio transactions in the last three years alone. Some of his advisory mandates included the €300 mln Project Gemstone for Logicor, Project NES for UBS for €51.7 mln, Project Cervantes for Patrizia for €112.5 mln and Project Riviera for Prologis for €85.6 mln.
RPE, which has offices in Madrid, Lisbon, and London with 14 people focused on Spain and Portugal, said it had a ‘strong commitment to developing its presence in the logistics market’, one of the key growth sectors of the real estate market.
Rodríguez joins Steven Weaving, Vanessa Gevers and Bill Judge, also some of the bestl-known figures in real estate investment in the Iberian markets. All four previously worked together as directors of the capital markets team of JLL.
