Professional services firm Axiom Advisors has appointed Tero Lehtonen, former CEO of JLL Finland, as CEO and partner.
During his time at JLL Finland, Lehtonen built up the company's real estate valuation and strategic consulting services from scratch, diversified its service offerings to be more client-centric, and established the company as a thought leader in the commercial real estate sector in Finland.
Lehtonen holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Economics and a Doctor of Science in Technology from the Helsinki University of Technology (now Aalto University).
Axiom Advisors' former CEO, Joona Reunanen, continues in a full-time working role in the company as the new chairman of the board.
Said Reunanen: 'I have known Tero for 20 years. His broad experience across various roles in the real estate sector opens up new and exciting growth opportunities for us, and his background in a leading advisory firm aligns well with our development goals.
'However, I think that the most valuable aspects of Tero joining are his personality and his reputation as a person, colleague, and leader.'
Lehtonen has a broad understanding of the real estate and construction sector further strengthened by his active participation on several corporate boards. He is a board member of Jatke Group, S-Bank Properties, and Intecon, as well as an advisory board member of Finnish Property Owners Rakli.
Said Lehtonen: 'When you succeed even in a challenging market, you have an excellent foundation to pursue growth and widen service offering more broadly. Axiom Advisors has clearly developed strategy that deliver results regardless of market situation.
'What attracted me to the company were its excellent reputation, Finnish roots, and the skilled employees I have known for years.'
