Finnish real estate investment manager Sirius Capital Partners has launched a fund specialising in grocery stores after raising €100 mln in equity.

The Grocery SCSp fund has raised equity from international institutional investors, with more than 75% of the capital coming from the US. More than 80% has already been deployed in 12 acquisitions, details of which will be announced as they close during the next month.

The fund is managed by Luxembourg Investment Solutions, while Sirius Capital Partners acts as the investment advisor in Finland.

‘Finnish grocery stores is a segment where we have an unrivalled track record,’ said CEO Patrick Gylling. ‘Therefore, the interest among investors for this fund was very high on both sides of the Atlantic, enabling us to have a final closing already after only a year since the launch of the firm.’
