Fashion House Outlet Centre Gdansk opened its second phase on Wednesday, which will add a further 50 outlet units by July 2010. The project will create a further 200 jobs and will consist of a built area of 10,000 m[sup]2[/sup] with a GLA of 7,200 m[sup]2[/sup]. This will bring the total space in the EUR 29 mln project to 16,600 m[sup]2[/sup].

The project will create a further 200 jobs and will consist of a built area of 10,000 m2 with a GLA of 7,200 m2. This will bring the total space in the EUR 29 mln project to 16,600 m2.

Phase one opened in the Polish city on October 2005 with 9,500 m2 occupied by leading retail names including Adidas, Big Star, Gino Rossi, Levi's, Mexx, Lee Cooper, Wittchen, Timberland, Converse, Puma, Quicksilver and Nike. Fashion House Outlet Centre Gdansk is the only outlet centre in Northern Poland. It is located in the Szadolki district near the Baltic coast and is one of the most popular tourist areas in Poland with over 1.7 million within a 90-minute catchment area and a further 1.5 million visitors.

Fashion House Development has developed outlet centres in Warsaw, Sosnowiec, Gdansk and Bucharest West. The Polish centres were acquired in 2007-2008 by AIB for its Polonia Property Fund II. FHD also has live projects for Bucharest East, Moscow and St Petersburg.
