Business service centres are gaining importance as tenants in office buildings in Poland, particularly in regional cities outside Warsaw. That was one of the key conclusions of a round table discussion on the impact of the outsourcing industry on the Polish investment market held at EXPO REAL this week.

According to JLL, the volume of office investment transactions in Poland, excluding the capital, hit €220 mln in the first half of 2014, with business service centres leasing the most attractive products in these cities.

Scandinavian builder Skanska has been particularly active in the development of new product targeting this sector in Poland - not without success. Of the 10 cities in CEE with the highest share of office space leased by the industry, nine are in Poland, data from Colliers International shows.

The discussion on the growing significance of outsourcing in Poland’s regional business and investment hubs was organised by JLL, Colliers International, Skanska and ABSL - the Association of Business Service Leaders integrating BPO/SSC companies in CEE. The organisation represents the likes of HP GBS, Capgemini Poland, Infosys BPO Poland, Accenture Services and UBS.
