Poland remains an important target for most international and institutional property investors in Central and Eastern Europe, but a deep understanding of the Polish market is needed in order to get the most of their investments, according to auditing firm Deloitte. Real estate experts from Deloitte are teaming up with law firm Allen & Overy and international property adviser King Sturge for a two-day conference that will address key issues such as 'where to develop in Poland' and how to go about investing in the country's property market.
The three firms say the overview of the real estate opportunities in Poland has been customised for directors, CEOs and managers who are seeking 'new ideas and better methods' to enhance their real estate activities in the country. The conference takes place on 19 and 20 September at the Westin Warsaw Hotel. The deadline for registration is 10 September.
Deloitte say that while investing in Polish real estate is relatively safe there are still risks. 'The conference will provide you with valuable know-how regarding measures for how to mitigate these risks.' The event will open with an overview of the Polish market presented by Jason Sharman, country manager of King Sturge and his team. They will explore recent trends, the best places for development and who the investors are.
In the next session, Deloitte will look at the 'unusual financial risk' for investors in Poland, followed by a session presented by Allen & Overly on the legal issues involved with real estate deals. Deloitte says the audience will be encouraged to network and experts from the three companies will be on hand for individual consultations.
