German property investor and asset manager DIC Group said it has appointed Joachim Plesser to its supervisory board. Plesser, 62, was previously a member of the executive board of German bank Eurohypo.

In a statement, DIC Group described Plesser as 'one of the best-known and best-reputed managers in the German real estate sector.'

'With his decision to join the supervisory Board of DIC to actively support the Group in its future development, the company has acquired one of the most experienced financing and real estate experts,' the company said.

At Eurohypo, Plesser was responsible for the Germany-related business transactions of Europe's largest real estate financing company. Prior to that, he was CEO of the 'old' Eurohypo, then part of Deutsche Bank. He also held management positions at Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Centralbodenkredit.
