Private equity real estate company Evans Randall Investors has formally appointed CBRE as sales agent for the AMS5 data centre in Amsterdam.
Offers in excess of €23 mln are sought to acquire the asset.
The property, which was built in 2011, comprises 13,120 m2 and is located in Amsterdam's Zuidoost (south east) business district, known as the the city's core location for data centres.
'Amsterdam saw record growth in colocation and data services in 2016. AMS5 offers an opportunity to acquire a long-let prime data centre with excellent income security located at the heart of this key European market,' commented Kent Gardner, chief executive of Evans Randall.
'In recent years there has been an increase in institutional interest in data centres with a number of funds being raised. It fits with Evans Randall Investor’s strategy to complete our business plan for this asset and we think the excellent asset fundamentals alongside the attractive cash on cash returns that can be generated will see strong investor interest,' Gardner added.
The asset is currently let to Equinix, a US-headquartered data centre operator and real estate investment trust, with around 15 years remaining on the lease, plus annual rental uplifts in line with the Dutch consumer price index (CPI).
