UK and European funds raised a combined total of €2.1 bn of equity in May, some 20% of the global total, according to online fund research platform Indirex.

UK and European funds raised a combined total of €2.1 bn of equity in May, some 20% of the global total, according to online fund research platform Indirex.

The money was raised by 24 funds across the two regions, most of which were unlisted or debt funds.

The UK raised €522 mln, or 6% of the global total, and the rest of Europe €1.6 bn, 14% of the global total.

Some 15 global funds raised €2.7 bn, and many of these had a European focus, while US funds accounted for 32% of all money raised.
