European property fund manager EuropaFeldberg has announced the appointment of Stephan Schaal to its investment team as investment director.
Schraal will be instrumental in launching EuropaFeldberg's new Western Europe core office property fund, which aims to secure a high and sustainable annual return for its investors and other investment funds to follow.
Schaal has extensive experience in the areas of acquisition, fund and portfolio management. Over the past 12 years, he has been involved in commercial real estate investments, across Europe, with a transaction volume of over EUR 1.1 bn. This has included transactions across a range of sectors, particularly offices, in strategies ranging from core to value-added.
Prior to joining EuropaFeldberg, Schaal spent over four years as Director of Curzon/AEW, a European real estate fund manager based in London. Between 2005 and 2007, he was at Henderson Global Investors in London. Previously, he spent over four years with Invesco (formerly HypoVereinsbank), where he focused on real estate portfolio management.
Feldberg Capital, established in 2008, is an independent privately owned firm, offering its institutional clients real estate solutions in Germany. At present, Feldberg Capital has over EUR 500 mln assets under management. The firm’s shareholders and directors are Rodney Bysh and Markus Hofmann.
