London-based real estate investment group Europa Capital has announced two new appointments. James Farmer joins from the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) as an associate supporting the acquisitions team active in 'Middle Europe'. The team which covers France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland is headed by Nic Fox.

James Farmer joins from the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) as an associate supporting the acquisitions team active in 'Middle Europe'. The team which covers France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland is headed by Nic Fox.

Farmer was most recently an associate director in the Real Estate Finance Group at RBS, following two years at each of CB Richard Ellis and Jones Lang LaSalle.

Europa Capital also announced that Julie Spencer has joined from MGPA as an associate in the Corporate Finance Team and will be responsible for the corporate structuring of all corporate investments from acquisition to exit.

Spencer joined the private equity fund manger MGPA in 2006, initially in Corporate Finance which focused on advising upon the legal & tax structuring of pan-European transactions, new funds and supporting the advisory business. Later she became a manager in the Transaction Services team advising not only on legal & tax structuring but was involved with other aspects of transactions including deal project management, deal execution and legal negotiations which included joint ventures, new debt, debt refinancing and debt restructures.
