European investment manager Europa Capital has announced plans to open a permanent office in Luxembourg, appointing Eric Biren as partner to lead the new operations.
Biren has worked with Europa Capital as consultant in an advisory capacity for the last 20 years, and was also managing director of Luxembourg-based fund manager JTC Signes.
'This is an important step for the continued growth of our European platform and follows the opening of our French office last year,' said Kevin D’Arcy, partner and chief financial officer at Europa Capital.
'By establishing another base in mainland Europe, we are also better prepared for any Brexit outcome and equipped to continue delivering value to our investors. Eric’s longstanding relationship and in-depth understanding of Europa Capital makes him the perfect person to lead our new team in Luxembourg,' D'Arcy added.
Biren said: 'Having worked closely with Europa Capital over the last 20 years, I have been able to develop a deep understanding of the business, including its operations across Europe and investor base. I look forward to establishing the team in Luxembourg and supporting the ongoing growth of the business’ pan-European platform.'
