Swiss investor and asset manager Empira Group said it will soon open an office in Stockholm, Sweden, as part of its global growth strategy.
The new managing director and head of Nordic client relations will be Christopher Andersson who will be tasked with growing the company with the help of Scandinavian institutional investors.
With 22 years of experience in the investment industry, Andersson specialised in Scandinavian institutional sales and client relationship management at various consultancy and asset management providers.
Lahcen Knapp, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Empira Group, said: ‘In the appointment of Christopher Andersson, we have gained a very experienced expert. This latest development means we will be able to offer Scandinavian investors attractive investment opportunities in the DACH region and the USA in the future.’
Christopher Andersson, added: ‘Scandinavian investors traditionally like to invest abroad. ESG-compliant investments in particular play a special role here. Scandinavia and consequently also the investors are in a pioneering position. This makes them an excellent fit for Empira and its products.’
Andersson joins from asset manager Artisan Partners, where he was a director.
Previously he worked at Lannebo Fonder as head of sales and Aberdeen Standard Investment as head of distribution.
The opening of the Stockholm office comes only months after Empira Group expanded its operations to Austria, Switzerland, the UK and the US.
