Empira Group, the European real estate investor, has hired Markus Königstein as global head of investment management.
He will assume the newly created role to ‘drive forward the internationalisation’ of the company in its key markets – Europe’s German-speaking countries – and in the US.
Lahcen Knapp, chairman of the board of directors of Empira Group, said the new addition was ‘an outstanding specialist in the field of institutional real estate investment’.
He was most recently responsible for a portfolio of some €10 bin in equity and debt as head of real estate and infrastructure at R+V Insurance Group, where he had worked since 2003.
