Expo Italia Real Estate (EIRE) and law firm DLA Piper have teamed up on an initiative called 'Italy International' to promote the real estate market.
EIRE Expo Italia Real Estate, scheduled to take place from 4 to 6 June, is being held at Fieramilanocity for the first time.
The fair organiser says EIRE is becoming increasingly identified as an event open to international investors.
With this in mind, the 'Italy International' initiative will be hosted in the Investors' lounge area and will be divided into two different branches: a series of three conferences dedicated to the investment world, and a presentation of the best projects developed by international investors in Italy.
The conference programme will begin with a session entitled "Bad banks in Europe: a lesson to be learnt in order to re-launch commercial real estate lending in Italy?", scheduled for Wednesday 5 June at 10.15am.
The programme continues from 11.45 am to 12.30 pm with the session entitled "Italian Real Estate: a market for institutional and opportunistic investors?", dedicated to the Italian property market.
Finally, from 3.00pm to 3.45pm, the session "Alternative finance: will insurance companies and debt funds close the funding gap?" focussing on the question of whether insurance companies and debt funds will be able to close the funding gap created by the reluctance of mortgage banks to finance real estate operations.
