Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate Investment Management (REIM) has appointed Lennart Weinhold as managing director in the real estate debt team, effective 16 September.

Weinhold will be based in Frankfurt and report to Edmond de Rothschild's REIM head of real estate debt and CEO for REIM Germany, Ralf Kind.

Weinhold will be responsible for portfolio and risk management. He will also be involved in loan origination and execution in his new role as managing director in the real estate debt team.

Weinhold brings with him over a decade of extensive experience in the European real estate and financing markets, having worked in both Germany and the UK.

Prior to joining Edmond de Rothschild REIM, he worked for Cheyne Capital for seven years, including six years as managing director in Cheyne Capital’s Berlin office. He also worked in London for three years as a European loan and real estate analyst at Sabal Financial Europe (now Victoria Asset Management), an affiliate of Oaktree Capital Management.

Weinhold started his career as an investment manager at Deutsche Immobilien AM in London in 2011.
